Autumn Johnson joined Concordia University School of Law in 2019 as an adjunct professor teaching environmental and natural resources courses. She began working in environmental law in 2007, volunteering at several nonprofit organizations in the west and obtaining a certificate in environmental law. After law school, she clerked for two years, before opening her own law office in Seattle. She began teaching in 2016.
While Autumn works in energy law and policy by day, she writes, teaches, and volunteers in animal and food/agriculture law in her free time. She is working on a dissertation on plant-based food labeling and rulemaking, a textbook on industrial agriculture, and a book chapter on ag-gag laws. She is a licensed attorney in Oregon and Washington.
