Concordia Law is now fully approved by the ABA

Great news!

Concordia Law is now fully approved by the ABA

It’s official! Concordia University School of Law has gone from vision to reality, achieving full approval from the American Bar Association (ABA).

“Full accreditation by the American Bar Association strengthens and affirms the university’s commitment to prepare caring legal professionals who display humility, courage, and faith,” said Concordia University-Portland Interim President Johnnie Driessner.

ABA approval is a multi-year process. Concordia Law opened its doors to students in the fall of 2012 with approval from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). After earning provisional approval in 2015, the School of Law set its sights on full approval, demonstrating compliance with ABA standards and affirming its high-quality programming with an emphasis on practice-ready, community-minded graduates.

Boise’s first three-year law school is here to stay

Concordia University School of Law is a nonprofit law school for the 21st century, with brick-and-mortar roots going back to 1905. Small classes foster critical thinking and lively dialogue. Meaningful experiential learning and one-on-one mentorships help make students practice-ready. Not only do our graduates have the #1 bar passage rate in Idaho (with passage rates exceeding 90% on the July 2017 and February 2018 bar exams), they also have the #1 employment rate in the state after graduation.

Now that we’re fully approved by the ABA, there’s never been a better time to enroll. Join us!
